Composition

The Alliance originally consists of an initiative group and the five thematic working groups “Toddlers”, “School Children and Youth”, “Family and Profession”, “Lecture and Quality of Life” and “Care and Care in Old Age”.

The group toddlers has compiled a family manual, which summarises all available on-site care and leisure activities as well as counselling centres. It is planned to survey the satisfaction of young families in Lengerich.

The group of school children and adolescents tries to make better use of the resources of associations around school and extracurricular areas or to make them more transparent. There are projects on “Language and Movement”. Furthermore, the integration of children with a migrant background in sports activities will be promoted.

The family and career group has the goal and has already implemented that the care of school-age children is guaranteed, especially during the holidays. 

The Leisure and Quality of Life Group moves the topics “creation of a skater’s facility”, “Trimm-Dich-path”, “Public bookcase” and planning other activities.

The Care and Care Group in Old Age is advocating for counselling on issues related to the reconciliation of care and occupation. She has prepared an information brochure on local offers on this topic. Other topics are the accessibility of walkways and the toilet situation in the city center. 

Cross-group projects with various regional cooperation partners from the fields of social affairs, education and sport also ensured to bring families together e.g. through sports, to make joint excursions, to have fun together. 

Several Lengerich families were very supportive. 

News

Again this year, we regularly support the joint holiday programme of the Youth Centre and the Evangelical Youth Lengerich, which takes place during the first three summer holiday weeks. We sponsor the mobile game for the summer festival of the Teestube for refugees in Lengerich and for the parish festival of the Evangelical Church community for the inauguration of the new church house.
